  • The Latin American Network Information Center (LANIC) is part of the Lozano Long Institute of Latin American Studies (LLILAS) and the Benson Latin American Collection at the University of Texas at Austin. The following site lists research institutions and resources related to Latin America,

  • A small number of places are available for study in May 2016 on the short online courses offered by the Centre for Archive and Information Studies (CAIS) at the University of Dundee, Scottland. All short courses and Masters degrees offered by CAIS are accredited by the Archives and Records Association, UK and Ireland and by Records and Information Management Professionals, Australasia. The CAIS team was ‘highly commended’ by the Information and Records Management Society in their awards in 2007. Courses are offered in:

    • Cataloguing in the Digital Age (15 weeks)

Upcoming Conferences, Events, and Workshops

  • Registration closes on March 21st for the upcoming AABC distance education course “Oral History: From Theory to Practice”. Using newly revised course textbooks, students will be introduced to the theory and practice of conducting a successful oral history program in seven modules that cover topics including administration; how to conduct interviews; description and transcription; technology and preservation; and public outreach.   • The Archives and Records Association (UK and Ireland) annual conference ‘Global Futures’ will be held in London between 31st August to 2nd September 2016.
